Say what you want about Matt Drudge..

But he sure does leak a good story. Like just now when he leaked that Prince Harry is fighting on the front lines in Afghanistan! He's scheduled for a 3-month tour, but I'm sure he's already been moved now that the secret is out.

Now, I didn't think it were possible for my love of Prince Harry to grow any more, but I must say- this is pretty sexy of him. I mean, 3rd in the line for the throne, 23 years old, smokin' hot... what business does he have to go fight the Taliban in Afghanistan.

It's pretty grown-up of him, and the pictures of him in camo make a part of me grow up as well...

And to even further add to Harry's hotness, check out these quotes! Damn he's sexy:

haha.. lame duck presidents are the BEST

This is a really funny article from Daily Kos called Bush Understands Your Mentality.

Bush predicted that the GOP would win in November based on the argument that he understands the American people so well. Does he also understand that according to every opinion poll Americans overall don't think he's done a very good job??

Did he forget that in 2006 the reason Democrats took back Congress is because of his failed administration. And why is Democratic voter turnout for the 2008 Primaries killing the Republicans if Oracle Bush's prediction is true?? I mean, Barack Obama alone received more votes than all of the Republican candidates COMBINED... in VIRGINA.

I think the best part of it though, is that no one is taking President Bush's prediction seriously at all. In fact, I bet McCain is going to try and distance himself from it as much as possible.

The best part of the Oscars

Glen Hansard y Marketa Iglová en los Oscars
by videoyouth

Overall, I'd have to say the Oscars were pretty WIZZ-EAK. I mean, I had my computer and work there with me to pretend-write a paper so I could justify watching the Oscars in the middle of midterms. I didn't intend to actually finish that paper, and I think that tells you a little bit about how boring it was.

There were some highlights though. John Stewart's political jokes were pretty funny, and I particularly liked this jab at John McCain: "Oscar is 80 this year, which makes him now automatically the front-runner for the Republican nomination." And the "Gaydolf Titler" comparison to Barack Hussein Obama was also hysterical.

But my favorite part of the night was the performance of the song "Falling Slowly" by Glen Hansard and Marketa Irglová from the soundtrack of the movie Once. It's just a gorgeous song- with eerie honest vocals that shake me to the bone. Mostly, it was just nice seeing some independent artists not only on the stage of the Oscars, that actually took home the award for Best Original Song. The front man from The Frames just won an Oscar up against 3 Disney songs! That's pretty impressive. It's a good day for independent artists, and my favorite part was when John Stewart brought Marketa back out for the acceptance speech after she got cut off by the music too early. Check the video out below as well as links to the movie version and the Frames version of Falling Slowly.

UPDATE: Sorry that the acceptance speech has Spanish dubs over it, but the Oscars have basically removed all of their clips from YouTube and so links are a little scarce right now.

I love when this happens..

Ah, it's like a hug from baby Jesus when you find these moments on your camera the next time you open it. Who else absolutely loves it when someone goes to take a picture with a camera set on video?!? It's an instant hit, and this short clip is no exception.

Mr. Hall seems to be really pissed off with the recording going on, but I'm more interested in if anyone can make out the frat boy noises during the beginning?

Yes We Can

This man is destined to be the next president of the United States of America. These are not "false hopes."
